Introduction: In the summer of 2010, I was diagnosed with an illness that changed the course of my life. I cancelled all future travel and began to look for ways to be productive at home. I had already written my newest book The Gift of Tongues, a door way to miracles, and started a monthly meeting in my home that I called a Power Tongues Work Group. Simply put, we open in prayer, pray in tongues 20-30 minutes, then share what the Lord reveals. We were all very energized and excited and enriched by the process.
When I was no longer traveling I began to pray about how this might expand. In 2011 I took the responses that our home group participant Shelly collected from our gathering, and sent them out to my bulk mail list with a note of explanation. It generated a lot of interest, and people asked to join us from their home location, willing to get up at 3am in some cases, to join us. The session on April 3 included the responses from more than 20 people from such remote places as Scotland , the UK , Venezuela and around the USA
Why are we doing this? Because we have discovered during our early tongues work groups, that this is powerful and effective. And others have expressed an interest in doing the same. We are providing a venue to do this.
The next step: We have set up this blog so that the format, and the responses, will be available to countless others worldwide. We will have the responses of the Home Group. We will have the responses of the Partners, those who join us at the same time as we pray from their own location. And we will now have the responses of the Associate group, those who will pray at 7pm in their own time zone.
Praying in tongues: The groups are instructed to only pray in tongues, in the language of the Holy Spirit. There are many wonderful ways to pray, but for this particular international prayer group, it is designed for prayer tongues.
Who we are, who you are: The founding group is a group of Christians who worship the Lord in their Catholic faith. We are charismatic Catholics, ecumenical at heart, and welcome the participation of all Christians who acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
Individually or in groups: You are welcome to pray alone, in small or larger groups. With groups, one person should be assigned the task of gathering the responses of the participants and emailing them to me.

When we pray: The home team prays from 7-8 pm on the evening of the first Sunday of each month.

Prayer of Preparation: You are encouraged to begin each session by praying the prayer of preparation found on the right side of the blog.
Write what the Lord reveals to you: Keep a Bible and notebook handy. What comes to you might be personal, or it might be something of a broader nature that should be shared. Send us the words that are not personal to you. Our team will review the input, put samples in a bulk mail to send to a larger group, and keep a record of all in the monthly blog that will be available to all.
When you close your session: Return it all to the Lord in gratitude, inviting Him to complete what He has begun. Ask that whatever was truly from Him, let it take root and produce fruit. What was just from you, let it be washed away. You might close with the Our Father and other prayers familiar to you.
My prayer for you: Lord Jesus, hope does not disappoint because God's love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit given to us (From Rom 5:5). Please touch your people and help them to know if this is something that is right for them to do. Come, Holy Spirit, bring insight, healing, understanding, and clarity of purpose in their lives. Reveal, Your love to them, and help them to know You are ready to speak to their hearts, and help them in their lives in a deeper way than ever before. Whatever your needs, help is as close as your next heartbeat. God is waiting to help you, to work in you and through you. Whisper to Him now, "Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening" (From 1Sam 3:10). Amen
